Quorum Singers of St Albans was founded in September 1989 as a group of ten singers to sing at the celebrations for the opening of the Dagnall Street Baptist Church, St. Albans. Ewart Hopkins became Musical Director in 1996, and the choir grew to twenty voices. In January 2019, following a recruitment campaign, our numbers rose to 30. During the Covid Pandemic in 2020 we managed to rehearse online, record the Halsway Carol, rehearse in gardens, and then return to indoor rehearsals in 2021 at Dagnall Road Baptist Church. Since then, our numbers have grown to nearly 45 and we moved to the Hatfield Road area for rehearsals.
